I’ve heard that writing letters when you’re dissatisfied can get results but I have never done it – until recently. It just seemed like too much work & I had my doubts that it would actually accomplish anything but now I am convinced.

Last summer we bought new waterbottles to replace our old bpa plastic nalgene bottles. We spent the (ridiculous amount) of money for the stainless steel nalgene bottles that would still work with our waterpump, but I was totally disappointed ’cause the darn things leaked from day one. So after complaining about it for months I finally sent a letter making an official complaint hoping they would replace the lids for free (I figured that was where the fault was). I ended up getting two brand new bottles & they don’t leak. Great!

Then last week Grumpy Bear & I decided to go out for supper with Diaperbutt. We decided to try  The Crazy Horse restaurant because we had heard good things about it & indeed the meal was good. But they didn’t have highchairs only booster seats which just did not work well with a squirmy one year old & a cushy seat & no safety belts. I sat with one hand on him the whole time because I was sure that booster with him in it was going to end up on the floor. Well, I just checked my e-mail & I have a message from the restaurant owner letting me know they now have 3 highchairs.

So there you go, taking the 10 minutes to write a letter (or e-mail) when you’re dissatisfied really is worth the effort. I will definitely be doing it more often from now on.
